i sincerely love this kid. bumps, bruises, boogers and all.
I LOVE THIS KID. (but moving on to the real point of this post…)
Do I even need to explain? You all know exactly what I’m talking about. ONIONS!
Eight: Black bean soup (Looks unappetizing, but was very flavorful and delicious. Jack loved it.)
Nine: Potato Tacos (As recipe I just made up as I went along. We had potatoes, raisins, onions, bell peppers…all kinds of goodies in there!)
Ten: White Chili (Just leave out the chicken and you’re good to go! Make sure to garnish with avocado)
Eleven: Spaghetti Sauce (see photo above. Just leave out the meatballs from this recipe, and it was REALLY good and quick to make. Normally Tyler and I don’t eat plain spaghetti sauce, but this was an exception. We’ll be making this again soon. I cut the recipe in half and we still could have fed four more people.)
one. two three. four five six seven.
I actually got to buy more onions this week. So far we’ve made butternut squash risotto (again!), and tomato artichoke pasta. This week we’ll be making thai peanut noodles and roasted broccoli, baked potatoes, and roasted butternut squash macaroni.
We also bought extra potatoes, so I think for lunches/snacks we’ll make roasted garlic oven fries, potato pancakes, and you guessed it – more baked potatoes!
DUDE! check these beauties out!
I’m a little sad we’ve already got gift tags on everything because these are my absolute favorite I’ve seen this year. Please someone use these for your last minute gifts!
Go here to download the set for free. Thank you Oana Befort.
But don’t say I didn’t warn you: if you’ve got a baby in the house, those gift tags can disappear quickly when your back is turned! Write the names on the bottom of the presents in sharpie, just in case.
today is our 3 year wedding anniversary! we’re going to jake’s in del mar. it’s supposed to have amazing food and a romantic, seaside view of the beach.
thank you for your smile. i love that it’s the very first thing i see every morning. it brightens my day and makes the mere prospect of waking up less crappy.
thank you for your laughter and peanut gallery jokes. it makes us appear to be a less-boring couple, and for that i am eternally in your debt.
thank you for making these the best years of my life. you rock like … that one happy hour band at your work. you said they are good, right? i sure hope so because i’m relying on them to set the bar for how much you rock.
basically i love you, tyler shaw jones.
