Some of Tyler’s family came to town this past weekend (right in time for my sacrament meeting talk at church!) and on Memorial Day we had the pleasure of attending the California Academy of Sciences museum. It was huge and modern (concrete walls!) and we had loads of fun.
Some highlights were the rainforest exhibit (you walk through four stories of a pseudo-rainforest dome, complete with trees, 110% humidity, giant butterflies, tree spiders, and snakes!), the aquarium (complete with a walk-through tube where you can see the sealife swimming above and around you), and the planetarium (a dome-theater showcasing their new earthquake movie). Tyler and I quickly decided if we ever live closer to San Francisco, we’d definitely get a membership. There were so many things to do, and even Jack loved it.
