As Jack is quickly entering the “activity” phase of toddlerdom, I’ve been pinning toddler activities and crafts on Pinterest to make with him. Just one “out of the ordinary” thing per day and he’s a happy camper.
Today my sister suggested coloring. Jack likes to color when we go to restaurants, but being 16 months old he doesn’t have the dexterity to keep the paper flat on the table (or patience to keep the crayon out of his mouth!). Today we didn’t have either problem. He wasn’t hungry so no crayons got slobbered on, and I taped the paper to his highchair tray so it wasn’t going anywhere.
I cut scrap computer paper in half and taped it to his tray. Then I chose three or four colors for him and he went to town. His favorite part was when he figured out he could hold two or three crayons at once and color with them.
cute!
So cute! I love this age. I use blue painters tape- it’s easier to get off then the clear scotch and then afterwards you are all ready to go if you want to hang it on the wall.
He is so dang cute… I can’t stand it.
I’m SO excited for you to have another one… You guys are SUCH great parents! Really. :)
