I finally finished decorating our bedroom! I’d love to paint it, but that isn’t happening. The mere thought of having to move all that furniture, plus paint it white again when we move is too daunting for me.
So white it is, and white it is staying. We tend to rotate the bedspread, and right now it’s white on white. We also have black and another one that is navy blue (which would probably look the best, actually.) I bought sheer white curtains (with a subtle funky pattern on them) at Target a few weeks ago, but we couldn’t find curtain rods in our budget (aka not $30/rod) to hang them on. So being the ghetto-fabulous decorator I am, I hung them with pushpins for a few weeks. Tyler surprised me with a trip to Ikea last Saturday and lo and behold they had 96″+ curtain rods for $10. Now that’s why we all love Ikea, am I right?
I finally got down to business and sewed our pillows for the bed and hung our Family Proclamation. The wall opposite our bed is huge and completely blank, but since I can’t paint (I was envisioning bold grey and white stripes) I’m not going to touch it. Our hope chest sits there, along with some other clutter we won’t picture here. I just block that out and smile when I see our fluffy new pillows.
In other news, Jack found Daddy’s nerdy sweatband:
…and is quickly turning into a toddler.
Oh my gosh!!! I love love love your room!!! It’s beautiful!!!!
It’s beautiful and I am envious!
