Remember last year’s Christmas stocking dilemma?

This year I really want these stockings for our family, from the Land of Nod:

But $30 seems like a lot to spend on a Christmas stocking. Or is it? We will use them for the rest of our lives (or 20+ years for the kids, until they grow a family of their own) so it hardly seems like much in the grand scheme of things. I wish I knew how to knit and I’d make my own.

What should I expect to pay for a Christmas stocking? Tyler and I decided we like more modern ones (not all Christmasy-decked out). Maybe I will make them myself?
