Yesterday Jack and I got a real treat: we got to go to the park. And as a bonus my good friend KJ drove down and brought the most delectable treat of all. Exhibit A:
She’s a real go-getter. She’s feisty. And she’s got the most luscious, thick eyelashes you’ve ever seen.
Jack and Ireland play great together. Ireland isn’t afraid to crawl around and eat grass, but Jack’s hesitant to try anything new these days. Exhibit B, in the pool two months ago:
As KJ put it so eloquently, he’s like the little elephant from Tarzan: “mmmooom! are you SURE this water’s sanitary???”
That’s also how Jack felt about the grass. He’s been around it. He’s seen it before. He knows what it is. But the most he did all afternoon was poke at it, one finger at a time. He even jumped once when he saw something moving in it. Is he worried about a bug? Or grass stains on his jeans?
Basically we’re counting on Ireland (and every other fearless baby) to show Jack how to eat grass. Or sand. Take your pick.
Cam learned this week in optometry school that there is a direct correlation between the amount of dirt kids eat and their likelihood of getting asthma… apparently the kids who eat dirt are exposed to more stuff and don’t get it as often. Perhaps you should start sneaking it into his meals ;)
I love all these gorgeous pictures! my goodness you are one awesome photographer…and photoshopper (ahem!). I love when our babies play…mostly because we get to talk :)
