(I love the picture on the right: “C’mon, Mama. It’s just a stupid towel you sewed. They all know it’s not that cool.”)
So this one day (okay, so it was a month or so ago), we decided to move out of my parent’s house. Lots of hip-hip-hoorays were exchanged – among both parties, I’m sure. Tyler’s commute will be much shorter and it will be nice to settle in here in San Diego. We finally got the keys for our new condo last night, and move in is tomorrow!
We’re excited to be “real people” again. We now have TWO couches, so no one has to sit on the floor or a dining chair when they visit. We also have a new dining table – and finally enough seating for a dinner party! Other “real people” amenities include:
- a hose on our kitchen sink faucet
- a dishwasher (this one’s a big deal, guys)
- a master suite (!!) with a large walk-in closet
- TWO bathrooms (one has a walk-in shower, one has a tub)
- front-loading washer and dryer
- AIR-CONDITIONING (!!)
- a newly remodeled kitchen with a pantry!! I have dedicated food cupboards now!
- a stainless-steel refrigerator with a water/ice thing on the door (this one’s a big deal too!)
- big vaulted ceilings and skylights
Looks good! Can’t wait to see more pictures once you’re all settled in! And I love the vaulted ceilings!
I started laughing when I read your comment about what a big deal the dish washer was! I remember your stories! Enjoy that luxury for me, will ya? Haha!
I am loving on the new “crib!” Haha… Also, Jack is getting SO big! It’s amazing how fast they grow. I’m so glad things are going well and you’re loving life! :)
