On A Cup of Jo, she talked about places to raise a family. Where did you grow up? I grew up in Oceanside, California, which according to NBC is the 27th best place to raise your family.

Guess that means I didn’t turn out too horrible, right? ;) (Tyler also would like to chip in that for the first three years of his life, he grew up in South Bay Area, California, #22, so he didn’t turn out so bad either.)

We are currently raising our family in the 5th best city, San Diego, and we really do love it here! Saturday we spent an hour wandering around the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center (for free museum day) and another hour at the zoo (we’ve got passes). Balboa park is only 30 minutes or less away from our house, so we feel very fortunate to be able to take day trips down there. We love finding new things to do in San Diego.

Where does your city rank? Tyler pointed out it is interesting that a large portion of the list are California cities. We were just partial to California because we grew up here, but I guess it truly is a great place to live!
