I could also say this about every month, but right now I think the 8th month of Jack’s life has been my favorite.
- He just started crawling (more on that later) and he eats just about every kind of “big people” food now.
- His favorite food is meat. He’ll eat ANY kind of meat – and lots of it, too!
- He just started to wave to people (also more on that later!), which is a fun little trick.
- He has become even more verbal than ever and feels the need to voice his opinion on everything.
- He is surprisingly great at sitting still and being silent during family prayer before bed.
- He still loves naptime and take 2 or 3 long naps each day. Yesterday he was only awake for less than 7 hours! He usually takes a quick morning nap after he wakes up, and then a loooooong 2.5 – 3 hour nap around noon. He also takes a 2 hour nap around 4pm.
- He has TWO teeth now! Two little crooked teeth right on the bottom. Hopefully the rest of his teeth will grow in straight?
- He still loves to snuggle (he just started giving (real) hugs today too!)
- Jack’s favorite thing to do is to bounce in his bounceroo – he can go really high!
We love you, Jack Jack. You bring so much happiness to everyone’s lives. We really couldn’t imagine life without you!
Hate to break it to you, but every month just gets better and better.
also hate to break it to you, but when Jack turned 9 months old he just finished his 9th month of life and started on his 10th.
love from your favorite math stickler (unless tyler is one too),
LB
p.s. i have had a present for jack since before he was born, will you be at your parents’ for a little longer?
Oh. Right.
Do you know I still get confused when I read his What to Expect the First Year baby book? Do I turn to Month 9 or Month 10? Golly.
Annnd yes we are still at mom & dad’s place. We will most likely be moving the end-end of August or beginning of September.
