aaaaaand…we’re back! Moving is really stressful.
This week we “played” everyday as a family. Tyler was home all week because his new job doesn’t start until Monday, so we took lots of little day trips. He has complained every.single.day about how boring sitting at home being “unemployed” is (even though he isn’t).
This week we:
- bought a new camera (a canon rebel t1i !!)
- another monitor for my desk (it’s a lot easier to work with two now)
- and … are getting smartphones tomorrow. Yup, we’re finally entering the world of smartpeople. Finally.
We also went to:
- the Mormon Battalion visitor’s center in Old Town – highly recommended.
- We took walks on the beach, and swam in the ocean.
- We took like 50 trips to Fry’s Electronics.
Annnnnd … on a more disappointing note, the chairs I fell in love with are permanently out of stock. And they decided to tell me this the day they were going to ship. Sad face.
Jack hates the water. I really thought he’d be one of those babies that giggles and squeals in delight as the waves crash at his feet, but not so much. He squeals in terror when his feet even touch the sand!
We’re working on it. He WILL love the ocean.
Super cute pictures! From your new camera, I assume? So happy for you that you live in SD!

What fun. I can’t believe the picture quality difference between your old and new camera. The new one is great.
I know, right? There is a HUGE difference between a point-and-shoot and a dslr!
It’s actually kind of a good thing he doesn’t love the water and sand yet. I know that sounds weird, but seriously enjoy this phase – the lovely sit on a blanket on the beach and relax phase. Before you know it you won’t be able to keep him out of the waves which gets tiring and everyone wet & sandy :)
