Lately life has been great! Tyler LOVES his new job. Even though he’s been working long hours (10+ hour days) he comes home very happy. :)

Here are some fun photos of Jack for you:

Jack is just growing and growing. Around 6 months he hit a HUGE growth spurt and grew from his 6month clothes to 12month clothes. He is now almost 9 months and is hitting another growth spurt and transitioning into 18month clothes. Yikes! I wasn’t prepared for it and so I’ve been frantically shopping and ordering clothes so he’ll have something to wear in the next few weeks.

His feet are still quite small though. He is nowhere near being close to fitting into his 9-12 month shoes. :)

I should also mention he cut his first tooth! It isn’t too big yet but is definitely very sharp and poking through his gums. Since that happened (yesterday morning) he’s been much more pleasant to be around. This past weekend he was grouchy and just wanted to be held and snuggled. But when you’re grouchy and then try to be snuggly, you overstay your welcome really soon!

He is quite giggly still. His Grandma and Grandpa (my parents) love to make him smile and laugh! He is obsessed with the ceiling fans around the house (though we had them in our last apartment, so I don’t know why the novelty hasn’t worn off yet). He is very close to crawling, but like some babies, he might never crawl on his hands and knees. He is very proficient at scooting around in a circle, using his elbows and forearms to get around. He’s a pretty content baby and besides this past weekend when he cut his first tooth, he has been very pleasant and happy!

He loves trying new foods. This past week alone he has tried (and loved):

• Grandpa’s BBQ (he couldn’t get enough of the smoked tri-tip)
• pb & j
• yogurt (I was going to share one with him yesterday but he ended up eating the entire 6-oz carton!)
• cheesecake
• beans & rice, Mexican food
