I’ve got a seriously unhealthy love affair with food. It’s bad. The minute all of the dishes are cleaned and put away, I just want to dirty my kitchen up all over again.
Last night I made couscous stuffed bell peppers with fresh artisan bread for dinner, and right after the dishes were done and the laundry was folded, I had an itching to make chocolate chip peanut butter bars. So in the oven they went.
I’ll share the recipe. My pantry stockpile is limited and slowly decreasing until after our big move in a month, so I used a cake mix as the base.
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars
1 yellow or white cake mix
1/3 c. oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. chocolate chips
Mix it all together and pour into a 9×13 glass pan. Bake at 400-degrees for 12-18 minutes.
