So this is Tyler, yes the uncommon blogger around here. I sometimes do work for things to write on here. Maybe this is my moment to shine and show you all my great preparation. Alie doesn’t know it most of the time, but I keep little sticky notes on my desktop (my virtual computer desktop, you know) and I take lots of notes about the things that people might say on TV, or lately just things that Alie says. I have found that I already have a great short little collection.
For example, Alie has been watching Glee recently, which reminded me of the hilarious things that Shoe’s wife, Terri says:
“If you don’t take these (prenatal vitamins), your baby will come out ugly!”
“You’re throwing up? That’s good, that means your baby isn’t a mongoloid!”
(Answering the phone late at night) “Listen you little psycho this is Will’s wife and if I don’t get enough sleep my anti-depressants don’t work, and then I’ll go crazy and I’ll kill you.”
Man, I do think that she may be my favorite character on the show. Anyway, that was really just a side note for what Alie has been saying recently.
“Tyler, I’m afraid I can’t wash the dishes anymore. I can’t handle that smell anymore.”
“Tyler, drive faster. That car next to us smells.”
(Cuddling on the couch) “Tyler, I think you are going to have to keep your distance, you smell funny.” (Turning to herself) “No!!! I smell funny!”
(Passing bowl to me) “I can’t barf into this bowl, it smells funny.”
So needless to say, we are pregnant and expecting on November 2nd. And by the way, none of you can laugh at anything I just wrote, because in Alie’s words, “you can’t make fun of pregnant people.”
