My second child didn’t come to our family until my oldest was 4 years old. It felt like an eternity. Looking back, I see that Heavenly Father gave me opportunities to serve in my calling and sew for a quilt charity in ways that I wouldn’t have been able to do with a little baby in my arms. It didn’t take away my longing, but they were valuable experiences that I needed.
