Sorry to hear about your bread, that has happened to us before, was the paddle at the bottom screwed in all the way? If it's not then the bread doesn't mix effectively and can cause a huge mess. However, if your bread machine still works, I ran across some recipes I used to throw in the breadmaker, so I'll have to send them to you.
